Cynthia Giddy dedicated her life to the protection and propagation of South African flora, especially succulents, aloes and cycads. This is evident in her book, Cycads of South Africa. Her detailed descriptions of 29 South African species of cycad, their habitats, history and propagation are enhanced by beautiful hand drawn illustrations and color photographs.
This is the second, revised edition published by C. Struik (pty) Ltd. in 1984. It is a rare and out of print collector’s item.
