My son Adam and I took a trip to South Africa in 2002. We visited the Johannesburg area, as well as the Eastern Cape, and Natal. In the Durban Botanical Garden, we took the picture you see here. This is the original Encephalartos woodii, harvested from the wild by Medley Wood in 1895. All E. woodii's around the world are descended from this plant!

Included in these pictures is a contest, Name that Plant! Please click on the bottom link here to play, and maybe win a free gift from A&A Cycads.
